Recently, one Reddit user regaled the Internet with a series of dad jokes so good that they may have just set the dad joke gold standard.

Here is the backstory:

“My father, Peter, was born and raised in Houlton, and my mother, Noemi, was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua. She came to the States to attend Colby College, where they met. After graduation, they married and settled in Auburn, where I was born. When I was about 2 or 3, my mother took me on an extended trip to her hometown in Nicaragua. These are the postcards Peter sent me while I was away.”

Postcards from Peter is a gloriously funny Tumblr account that features postcard after postcard of vintage Maine with side-splitting descriptions written by Peter, who shall now be forever known as The King of Dad Jokes.
