A 9-year-old girl from Newport can’t contain her enthusiasm for Donald Trump, goes viral

It wasn’t something like a trip to Disney World or a new pet puppy that got 9-year-old Ava Lovley of Newport excited to tears. It was the chance to see the billionaire and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

In a video that has since gone viral, Ava’s mother, Kim, tells her she’ll get to see Trump at a rally in New Hampshire. Ava can’t contain her enthusiasm. “I love you, Trump!” she says through her tears.

As the Washington Post wrote:

“We’re Republicans, but we’re not political people at all,” Kim Lovley told us by phone when we spoke on Tuesday afternoon. Ava was a big Trump fan, though, and had been tracking his candidacy since he announced. “She said she loved his hair and that he speaks his mind,” Kim said. And since Ava herself is a bit outspoken, that appealed.

Kim said she originally put the video on Facebook just to share with friends and family. A friend later helped her upload it to YouTube, and it took off. She didn’t have a political agenda, she said, and she and her husband haven’t even decided yet who they’ll vote for.

At the rally in Farmington, New Hampshire, on Monday, Jan. 25, Trump signed Ava’s poster and her hand, and they shared a few words. Check out that video here:
