The travel site BusBud created an interactive map of the places in each state most often photographed and shared with the photo-sharing site Instagram, and that map has since been picked up and shared by the likes of Business Insider and LifeHacker.

In Louisiana, the famous Bourbon Street of New Orleans is Instagrammed the most, while Disneyland takes the crown for California. Miami’s trendy South Beach is the most Instagrammed place in Florida and Chicago’s Wrigley Field — home of the beloved Cubs baseball team — is the top spot in Illinois.

You get the drift.

So which place in Maine is Instagrammed more than any other? In case the photograph above didn’t give it away, the answer is Old Orchard Beach.

Instagram has 300 million monthly users, so it’s a decent gauge of what a lot of people consider fun and photogenic.

Old Orchard Beach has long been one of Maine’s most recognizable tourist destinations, with a popular pier full of restaurants and shops stretching out to the Atlantic as well as the state’s only oceanfront amusement park.

How about a sampling of that state-best Instagram traffic?
