Internet powerhouse Yahoo! posted a list of each state’s “one can’t-miss event” for 2015 — so if you’ve got a 50-state road trip planned for this year and can only get to each state for one event, these are the top suggestions from Yahoo!

When you’re scheduling your stop in Alabama, for instance, Yahoo! wants you to make sure to come for the Iron Bowl, the annual rivalry football game between the University of Alabama and Auburn University.

Idaho’s got the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in late February, while Kentucky’s got the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in mid-April.

But if you’re reading this from out-of-state — or you’re a Mainer planning a “staycation” — Yahoo! says to make the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland your one priority for this state.

The Lobster Festival will stretch from July 29-Aug. 1. Here’s what Yahoo! travel writer Matt Meltzer wrote about the annual midcoast attraction:

“Check this: 20,000 pounds of lobster are served up at the MLF, which also features a parade, an international crate race, cooking contests, and, of course, the crowning of the coveted ‘sea goddess.'”

If you want to keep within a few hours’ drive, Yahoo! notes that the Keene Pumpkin Festival is the thing to do in New Hampshire this year, while Patriots Day in Massachusetts — featuring a marathon, parade and Boston Red Sox game — is your one “can’t-miss” day in the Bay State.

Elsewhere in New England, the Vermont Brewers Festival in mid-July, May’s Volvo Ocean Race Series off the coast of Rhode Island and the Milford Oyster Festival in Connecticut in August are Yahoo!’s go-to recommendations.
