As seen on the Huffington Post today, Broadview Networks put together a cool map of the top-grossing companies in each state.
Maine’s winner, Hannaford, is special in that it looks like the only grocery store on this list (though other companies, like Costco and Walmart, certainly sell groceries).
Hannaford is larger than the largest companies in several other states, such as the Stillwater Mining Co. in Montana ($1.03 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year) or Sanderson Farms in Mississippi ($2.68 billion).
The state with the largest company is Arkansas with Wal-Mart, cited at $476 billion in revenue according to the blog source.
