Bangor Police help local guy fulfill ‘bucket list’ in comedic video

Emily Burnham here. Full disclosure: Brad LaBree is a very good friend of mine, so I’m biased towards finding him funny. That said,  LaBree — local actor and comedian and staff member at Penobscot Theatre — made something very funny last week, with the help of the Bangor Police Department (pictured here, in the aftermath of Bangor’s Color Run last month) and, in particular, Lt. Paul Edwards. The BPD won the Impact Award from the Greater Bangor Convention and Visitor’s Bureau annual Tourism Awards, for their outstanding, often behind-the-scenes efforts in the past year to assist the community in various ways. At the award event, held last week in Bangor, LaBree was the host, and created funny videos to introduce the winners of various awards. The BPD video was the standout hit.

LaBree’s bucket lists includes all kind of cop TV show cliches. LaBree and Edwards jam out on the cop car sirens. LaBree gets hauled into Chief Hathaway’s office for a chewing out for being a hothead. There’s even a lineup featuring a cameo from none other than BDN courts reporter Judy Harrison. Just watch it. It’s pretty hilarious. Even if I’m biased.
